An approach plate is necessary for a edge of dock leveler installation where there's not an embedded steel channel in the dock face to attach the leveler to. the approach plate is anchored to the top of the dock before the leveler installation, so that the eod can be welded to the edge of the plate. standard model# epap12 is 12" long x 120" wide with a beveled edge for a smooth transition. installation hardware sold separately.
