This allows you to play through short power failures, avoid streaming interruptions and safely save your game and shut down your system in case of a prolonged blackout. For additional play, the UPS supports an optional Tripp Lite BP24V9T external battery pack (sold separately), which provides 41 minutes of expanded runtime. 10 NEMA 5-15R Outlets Protect Your Connected Components and Monitor Load ConditionsFour 5-15R energy-saving outlets provide battery backup and network-grade surge protection for your gaming rig and connected desktop and network components. Five outlets are surge-only to connect peripherals not requiring battery backup, such as a printer or desk lamp. One battery- and surge-supported master outlet controls the energy-saving outlets and reports the wattage drawn by the PC or other connected device. If the device connected to the master outlet shuts down or enters standby, the three energy-saving outlets also turn off.
