HighPoint SSD7140A is our second generation high port count (HPC) M.2 NVMe RAID controller, and was designed for professional applications that require a small-footprint, mass-storage NVMe solution that can take full advantage of PCIe 3.0 x16 transfer bandwidth. Our performance-focused NVMe RAID architecture ensures that up to x4 lanes can be assigned to each device channel to ensure maximum transfer throughput - ideal for professional media workstation and server environments designed to support a wide range of editing, rendering, capture and streaming applications. The SSD7140A allows customers to saturate x16 lanes of PCIe 3.0 bus-bandwidth with sustained transfer performance over 14,000MB/s while supporting up to 64TB of storage. Universal Compatibility. The SSD7140A can be installed into any computing platform with an industry-standard PCIe 4.0 or 3.0 x16 slot. Like all SSD7000 series NVMe RAID controllers, the SSD7140A does not require a host platform with Bifurcation support, and is not dependent on a specific brand or model of motherboard. Massive Storage & Support Multiple NVMe Configurations. Each SSD7140A RAID controller features eight independent M.2 channels, and can support RAID, non-RAID, and mixed NVMe storage configurations. No other M.2 NVMe controller in today's marketplace can match the SSD7140A's storage capability, transfer performance, or flexibility. Comprehensive RAID Storage Solution. The SSD7140A can be used to configure bootable RAID or single NVMe SSD configurations for Windows and Linux systems. Optional UEFI downloads and complete installation guides are available for each supported platform. Ultra-Efficient, Multi-Stage Cooling Solution. Ultra-Efficient, low-Noise Cooling Solution designed specifically for Gen3 NVMe SSD's. The SSD7140A employs our new ultra-efficient, multi-stage cooling solution that combines a high-conductivity thermal pad with an anodized aluminum heatsink equipped with dual built-in, low noise fans. This design ensures the M.2 SSDs, NVMe chipset and RAID componentry remain cool, even under heavy load, while minimizing the risk of distraction in the work environment.
